Health~Holland uses touch tables for trade shows.
The Dutch Life Sciences & Health (LSH) sector is one of the nine top sectors in the Netherlands. These top sectors are appointed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and selected on the basis of their ability to contribute to global social issues. Health~Holland is the communication body of the Top Sector LSH. In March 2018, the BIO-Europe Spring exhibition took place in Amsterdam, organised by Health~Holland and others. More than 2,500 life sciences professionals visited the fair to network, get information and attend education sessions. As an ambassador for the Dutch Life Sciences sector, Health~Holland was looking for an interactive and sustainable solution for the provision of information. Above all, it had to be a paperless solution.
How they came into contact with Prestop
Jannica Swieringa, communicatie medewerker bij Health~Holland: "Via Google kwamen we bij Prestop. We waren onder de indruk van expertise en maakten een afspraak om te gaan kijken in de showroom."
Point at issue
Jannica: "The pavilion was a real eye-catcher. The participating partners, who were keen to share their information with visitors, would have provided an abundance of leaflets and brochures. Besides the fact that our pavilion did not offer space for this, the situation would have resulted in an enormous 'waste of paper'. Not sustainable and not at all efficient. We asked Prestop for advice on a 'paperless solution'. A digital presentation, preferably interactive and with a piece of unadulterated activation".
Prestop's solution
Prestop recommended an adjustable touchscreen table with a 55" PCAP touchscreen, to be used as a flat table, or tilted at 45° or 90°. Considering the wishes, it was also recommended looking at a multitouch application. Omnitapps, Prestop's multitouch software, perfectly matched what Health~Holland had in mind.
Day to day operations
"We chose the apps 'BrochureRequest', 'VideoPlayer', 'SwipeMediaMarker', 'QuizGame' and 'ShuffleGame'. With the BrochureRequest app, visitors could mail brochures of participating partners to themselves. In the VideoPlayer app we showed videos about the Dutch life sciences sector, the SwipeMediaMarker showed a map of the Netherlands where they could zoom in on the different regions. The quiz game provided a fun activation: people could test their knowledge with the questions we came up with. ShuffleGame was a digital shuffleboard, for an old school Dutch game experience", says Jannica.
