How they came into contact with Prestop
During the week, the BroodjesBus (sandwich bus) is located at the Media Markt parking lot next to Prestop. Because Prestop employees get their sandwiches every Friday, contact gradually arose about placing an order kiosk.
The point at issue
The BroodjesBus was looking for a solution to cope with the rush. Every day, many employees come by to order a sandwich in the break. The sandwich van only has two employees, and if one of them is busy taking orders all the time, the waiting time increases. So, to reduce the waiting time, they wanted to focus entirely on making the sandwiches.
Prestop's solution
Shortening the waiting time was managed from the moment an order kiosk of Prestop was placed. It started in April 2020, when an order kiosk was installed where customers could pay with Tikkie, QR iDeal, QR Payconiq, or a pin at the counter. A few months later, a disinfection gel dispenser was added to this kiosk.
Since December 2021, another unit has been installed. Instead of a dispenser, the kiosk has a built-in PIN unit and receipt printer.
Day to day operations.
The entrepreneur has chosen to give customers the option of ordering from the kiosk, at the counter, or online. This allows them to focus on making the sandwiches better than if the kiosk had not been there.
