Thursday 12 December 2019Since 1990 the tourist office has been located in 't Blaeuwe Huus in Ouddorp, the Netherlands. Until recently, guests found a counter there with helpful staff, a shop and a small exhibition room. But since today there is a VVV Information Point to be found, where guests can explore what there is to see and to do at Goeree-Overflakkee.
More experience with inspiration screens
Experience is essential to the VVV Information Points, which is why two 32" pcap touchscreens have been placed as inspiration screens. On a touchscreen a map with the highlights of Goeree-Overflakkee is displayed, allowing visitors to orient themselves and gain inspiration to explore the island. A built-in touchscreen shows extensive information about restaurants, accommodations, routes, events, attractions and museums.
Personal contact with video chat
Video chat can be used to personally contact someone from VVV in 't Blaeuwe Huus in Ouddorp. The video chat is displayed on a 32" pcap touchscreen with camera and speakers. If the button is pressed, a video connection starts. The video chat allows the user and the VVV employee to see each other and a conversation can be conducted. In this way the VVV can also offer a personal form of service remotely and help residents and visitors with questions.
Information provision

Video chat in different locations
The first two walls with touchscreen and video chat have been placed at Seal shelter A Seal in Stellendam and the Menheerse Werf in Middelharnis (in the Netherlands). On these walls you will find an overview of some tourist highlights on Goeree-Overflakkee.
