Interactive order kiosk with digital signage

In the experience stores in both Almelo and Amersfoort we placed an order kiosk. The kiosk consists of two parts, assembled as one. The bottom part has a 32” touchscreen on which the client can do research about a product or order products. The top part has a 55” screen which is used for digital signage to promote both the store as its products.

The purpose of order kiosks in experience stores

The purpose of the order kiosks is to inspire, inform and advise clients but also makes it possible for clients to order products from the store. It’s an interactive tool with added value for the customer and the staff members. Meanwhile, this kiosk is fully integrated in the store concept of Kees Smit Garden Furniture.

Added value in stores

Order kiosks create a more interactive store experience in the stores of Kees Smit Garden Furniture. With the top part of the kiosk, products can be promoted or highlighted. This also provides more atmosphere in the store. Information about the products are just one touch away from the customer and the staff members. Customers also don’t have to wait in line at the cash register anymore, orders can now be placed at the kiosk. The kiosk also registers important data that can be acted upon with, among other things; promotions, web page layout and assortment.

With the usage of Omnitapps (software from Prestop) the complete application is created in the corporate identity of Kees Smit. Kees Smit manages the kiosk and content via an online management tool. With the use of the Omnitapps Player it’s possible to run different content on the top screen in Almelo than in Amersfoort.
