More Bottle Your Own order kiosks for the Heineken Experience
The Heineken Experience is located in the former Heineken Brewery in the center of Amsterdam. Due to a lack of capacity, the brewery closed in 1988. The location is now a tribute to the brand. It shows visitors everything, with a tour, about Heineken's heritage, the brewing process, innovations, sponsorships, and the story behind the star in the logo. Heineken Experience Amsterdam underwent a significant renovation where, among other things, we installed two new Bottle Your Own order kiosks. During the tour, there is an opportunity to create and pay for a personalized bottle of Heineken via an interactive order kiosk by Prestop.
We customized the hardware with a team of interior designers to match the materials, such as glass, tile work, and specific paint colors.
Bottle Your Own
The "Bottle Your Own" solution combines custom hardware and software, allowing visitors to order and pay for a personalized Heineken bottle. Since 2012, Heineken Experience has featured evolution on evolution of Prestop order kiosks. They see that 1 in 5 visitors order a customized bottle. Since 2019, the many 24" Evolution kiosks have been in the space where large screens show how the beers are labeled by personalization. The software is in as many as 20 languages! We added two kiosks due to the concept's success and to spread the visitors ordering over more space.
The order kiosk relays the job to a print and management server somewhere in the building, allowing staff to print the actual bottle labels with the thermal label printers. We also created two additional order kiosks for ordering personalized drinking glasses. Watch the demonstration video below!
Full in-house software development
Because we develop all software in-house, our client, Heineken, has the opportunity to directly contact the right people in case of questions or challenges. We may also develop several extensions for data insight, further optimization, and system management.
