Design and production of outdoor totems
Prestop designed outdoor totems that perfectly fit the futuristic building of the AFAS Clubhouse and the AFAS Theater.
After three years of construction, the AFAS Clubhouse was completed on November 16, 2020. Guests and staff were only allowed to be received again in the summer of this year. It then became clear that the outdoor signage did not provide enough information about where guests should report and park.
On this, Herman Zondag asked Prestop one Friday afternoon to work with him immediately after the weekend to see if two outdoor totems could be designed, built and installed. These kiosks were to serve not only as signage but also as nameplates and various signs, and they even replaced mailboxes.

A tour of the impressive complex and closely examining the remarkable buildings and their materials gave Prestop enough insight to present a design within one week. The design was an instant hit and remained unchanged.
Perfect integration with the building
The outdoor totems, which will be fitted with a high-brightness monitor in October, are not only beautifully designed on the front, but also the sides and back fit perfectly with the building designed by architect Steef van der Veldt.
