Digital window display and touchscreens for VVV Zeeland stores.
The VVV Zeeland helps tourists by providing all kinds of information about sights, history and events in the various regions. Martijn Kapel, project manager at the VVV Zeeland: "The new shop formula developed for the VVV includes touch solutions. In addition to touch screens, there is particular interest in a digital display window so that tourists can also find their way and be provided with information outside the opening hours of the VVV."
The road to Prestop.
VVV Zeeland made the first step towards Prestop via the agency that had developed the formula. Martijn: "However, we have been in direct contact with Prestop for some time now."
Point at issue.
"We came in with questions about the digital shop window. The wish we had was that our own ZIDS application could run on it. This application shows tourists the way, literally, but also in terms of restaurants, hotels, cycle routes, tourist attractions, etc. The touchscreens give the locations where they are used a hospitable character; the information is accessible at all times," says Martijn.
Prestop's solution.
Prestop supplied a mix of hardware, ranging from touchscreen tables, built-in touchscreens, digital display window touchscreens, outdoor kiosks, and displays for narrowcasting. "The ZIDS application is installed on all hardware except the touchscreen tables, which feature a special interactive presentation created by Prestop using Omnitapps. The youth can play fun games on the touchscreen table, such as shuffleboard. But the wayfinding app also runs on the touch table, with a map."

Day to day operations.
In Domburg, touch screens with the ZIDS application, and a touch screen table with Omnitapps, with games, wayfinding, a map and a FAQ are running. Outdoor kiosks have been installed at Landal Resort Haamstede. "In Oostkapelle, the tourist information point 'Het Wachtertje' is located near the church. A touch screen has been installed there for interactive information provision and narrowcasting. Everything is fed from one database," says Martijn. In Terneuzen, we chose a digital shop window with touch. In Cadzand, touch solutions have been installed at the bicycle access points. "These are at traffic locations," Martijn explains. "We are satisfied with the applications. If there was anything we needed support with, Prestop provided it."
