How they came into contact with Prestop
Cosalux sought a company that could realize its complex design for an interactive table on behalf of Frankfurt Airport. Alex Besparis at Cosalux: "Besides being innovative, our design was also hugely complex in terms of technology and format. We quickly discovered Prestop, where their demonstrable experience in similar projects soon became apparent."
Point at issue
The functionality of the interactive touch tables conceived by Cosalux is wholly based on the traveller's perspective. "Passengers can scan their tickets, after which the quickest way to their gate is displayed. Passenger offers are also displayed, and all sorts of relevant flight and airport accommodation info can be requested", explains Alex Besparis.
Prestop's solution.
Prestop supplied the hardware for the system in the form of a multi-touch display with corresponding PC. The software was supplied by a third party and installed by Cosalux. Key for Cosalux was that the hardware had to meet pre-stipulated rules and applicable DIN standardization. Alex Besparis: "In this regard too Prestop grasped it in no time at all, and supplied exactly what was asked for."

Day to day operations.
Three years ago the first touch table was delivered by Cosalux to Frankfurt Airport. Since then, each subsequent year one or two touch tables have been added, each time with improvements, based on user experiences and the client's wishes. To date there are 6 tables, with another six planned.
