Registration kiosks AMC
The Academic Medical Centre (AMC) is one of the eight university medical centres in the Netherlands and ranks among the international top in academic medicine.
In 2017, together with the VUmc, the AMC implemented a new EPD system called Epic that allows visitors to register via an information kiosk. We had already supplied registration columns to the VUmc, so they came to Prestop with the same request. The AMC was looking for a party to design, produce and install registration kiosks. Prestop was the ideal partner for this complete solution.
Custom registration kiosk
We designed and produced a registration kiosk for the AMC with a custom-made 22″ PCAP touchscreen (edge-to-edge) and a barcode scanner. The touchscreen is fitted with a privacy film so that personal data are not readable when not standing right in front of the information column. In addition, this kiosk is prepared for a printer, so if the AMC decides they want to connect a printer, we can quickly switch and install one.
Easy registration with registration kiosks
In combination with Epic, the registration kiosk offers patients a self-service option upon entering the hospital using an intuitive touchscreen interface. The objective of this solution is that patients (or their supervisors) walk through a menu of possibilities such as registration, check-in, appointment list, registration information and checking this info. Identification of the visitor takes place by scanning a QR code (present on the written confirmation or digitally on the smartphone) or an ID card.

Interactive Experience Center.
Prestop has the largest Interactive Experience Center in Europe. Also now you are welcome in our Interactive Experience Center, at Ekkersrijt 4611 in Son en Breugel. We also give digital tours via Skype, Zoom or Teams. Via more than 16 webcams we let you watch live and let you "walk with" our specialists through our Interactive Experience Center. The images are shown live via multiple camera positions and you can ask questions directly from home. Questions about our interactive solutions, but also how we see the future.
