Today, the roll-out of the 25 information kiosks that have been set up at 25 different construction dealers across Belgium has been completed. The pillars will not only be used to make the websites of CSTS, Constructiv and Fema accessible to visitors and employees of the construction trade, but will also be used to provide training.

The bottom 24” touchscreen shows a home page where a choice can be made between the French-language websites or Dutch-language websites. When the touchscreen is not in use, a video starts showing what kind of information the kiosk offers the users.

Behind tempered glass, above the 24” touchscreen is a 43” screen that shows its subtitles in several videos in a loop.

Because the kiosk is equipped with Sitekiosk, Sitecaster and Siteremote, the customer has full control over the content that is displayed not only on the touchscreen, but also on the non-interactive top screen. Sitecaster is a narrowcasting/digital signage tool that allows the administrator to independently determine when and on which screens certain videos should be shown.

Sitekiosk ensures that only the content of the six websites is displayed and that certain external websites are excluded.

With Siteremote, Prestop but also the customer can monitor usage, set startup/shutdown times and respond to any error messages.

By connecting a second external HDMI connection to the top screen, the screen can also be connected to a laptop so that suppliers can provide training to the construction trade. Switching between the video content and the laptop is done easily by means of a remote control.

At the beginning of September, the pillars will be deployed in this way in order to increase the knowledge level of the employees in the construction trade.
