First delivery of registration kiosks AMC
The Academic Medical Center (AMC) is one of the eight university medical centers in the Netherlands and is ranked among the international top in the field of academic medicine.
This year, together with the VUmc, the AMC has implemented a new EPD system called Epic, which allows visitors to register via an information kiosk. At the VUmc we have already delivered registration kiosks, and so they came to Prestop with the same question. The AMC was looking for a party that could design, produce and install registration kiosks. Prestop was the ideal partner for this complete solution.
Custom application kiosk
For the AMC we designed and produced a registration kiosk with a custom-made 22″ PCAP touchscreen (edge-to-edge) and with a barcode scanner. The touchscreen is provided with a privacy foil, so that personal data cannot be read if one is not standing in front of the information kiosk. In addition, this kiosk is prepared for a printer, so if the AMC decides to connect a printer anyway, we can quickly install one.
Easy registration with registration kiosks
The registration kiosk in combination with Epic offers patients a self-service option when entering the hospital by means of an intuitive touchscreen interface. The objective of this solution is that patients (or their supervisors) walk through a menu of options such as registration, check-in, appointment list, registration information and monitoring. Identification of the visitor is done by scanning a QR code (which is present on written confirmation or digitally on the smartphone) or an ID proof.
